This video editing position is located at our head office serving with our Communications Team.

Job Description/About the Job

In this full-time role, we are looking for a talented video editor to assemble recorded footage into a finished project that matches the director’s vision and is suitable for distribution. The goal is bring sight and sound together in order to tell a cohesive story. Our projects include video blogs, promotional material, and documentary style films for internal and external audiences. The successful applicant would report to the Communications Team Leader and be part of the CCCA production team.

Proposed Position: Chief Operating Officer

A.            Position Purpose

The Chief Operating Officer is responsible for assisting the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in effectively and efficiently implementing approved plans, programs and projects of the organization.  This includes having supervision over the office management, membership care and donor relations, and project development and management functions of GAiN Australia. The COO shall also take the lead in developing and implementing a system of indicators that could be used to monitor the progress of its different ministries which will serve as a basis for future action by top management and the Board of Directors.  

B.            Essential Position Functions

1.         Principal Accountabilities

a.          Assists the CEO in the management and direction setting of the organization’s day-to-day operations including setting priorities, coordinating and the reporting of department and project activities.

b.         Drives and is responsible for the daily activities of heads of departments and programs and projects.

c.          Provides regular and periodic reports of the different projects, as well as projected program and project activities.

d.         Identifies potential areas where existing strategies, policies and procedures require change or modification  or where new ones need to be developed and implemented.


2.         Authority

a.          Oversees the activities of the different departments including office management, membership care and donor relations, and projects development and management department.

b.          Acts as signatory of financial cheques and vouchers within limits as specified by the Board of Directors and the CEO.  

c.          Serves as approving authority for leave, travel, etc. of volunteers.

3.         Relationships

a.          Reports to the Chief Executive Officer.

b.          Supervises the GAiN department heads, i.e., office management, membership care and donor relations, and projects development and management department.

c.          Interacts with: 

·         The heads of GAiN departments,  as well as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and the head of the Information and Technology Department (ITD).  

·         The leadership of the Campus Crusade for Christ of Australia (CCCA).

·         Church leaders who are partners of GAiN or where partnership relationships are being developed

·         Community leaders

·         NGO leaders

·         GAiN members, business supporters, and local country partners of GAiN as well as the GAiN international directors.
